Who Should Attend?
Operators who operate a Lift Truck (Forklift) as part of their work and are in need of certification.
This course is available in both an instructor-monitored format and ONLINE format. For the ONLINE format select:

WCFF can provide practical time on sit-down, stand-up and walk-behind classifications of lift trucks. Additional charges may apply.
Are you a New or Skilled Operator?
Skilled Operator: has at least 100 hours of recent experience operating a Lift Truck (Forklift).
The skilled operator will demonstrate their ability to operate the Lift Truck safely and efficiently through a series of driving and operating exercises. Practical operating assessments take approximately 20-30 minutes.
Skilled operators may complete certification on multiple pieces of equipment on the same day through our Powered Mobile Equipment Program.

New Operator: does not have over 100 hours of recent experience operating the lift truck.
This course is intended for those needing the training required to meet the basic knowledge and skills to operate the lift truck safely.
They will gain about 2-3 hours of operating experience on the piece of equipment; demonstrating their ability to operate the equipment safely and efficiently through a series of driving and operating exercises.
Course Outline
The course includes both a theory and a practical section.
The theory portion includes the following topics:

• Ensuring a Safe Worksite
• Emergency Actions
• Competency Requirements
• Job Planning and Hazard Assessments
• Safe Operating Procedures
• Prevention of Injuries
• Maintaining Equipment
• Workplace Requirements
• Maintaining Equipment Stability
• Material Handling and Attachments
The practical portion includes demonstrating their ability to operate the equipment in a safe and efficient manner through a series of driving and operating exercises and using the attachments.
Course Details
Length: Theory: Two – Three hours – Practical will depend on if you are a skilled, or new operator
Certificate: Valid for three years
Prerequisite: None
Cost: Skilled – $175.00. New – $425.00
Additional lift truck classifications may be added, prices will vary.
Note: Smaller class sizes may result in the student taking the theory in our computer lab with the instructor present to monitor and assist the student. Practical components will be taught in-person with the guidance and supervision of the instructor.
