Wheel Loader - Front-end Loader

Who Should Attend?

Workers who operate a wheel loader as part of their work and are in need of certification.

This course is available in both an instructor-monitored format and BLENDED format. For the blended format select:
• Front-end Loader – Alberta
• Powered Mobile Equipment Operator – Alberta

Are you a New or Skilled Operator?

Skilled Operator: has at least 100 hours of recent experience operating a Wheel Loader.
The skilled operator will demonstrate their ability to operate the Wheel Loader safely and efficiently through a series of driving and operating exercises. Practical operating assessments take approximately 20-30 minutes.
Skilled operators may complete certification on multiple pieces of equipment on the same day through our Powered Mobile Equipment Program.

New Operator:  does not have over 100 hours of recent experience operating a wheel loader.

This course is intended for those needing the training required to meet the basic and knowledge to operate a wheel loader safely.
They will gain about 2-3 hours of operating experience on the piece of equipment; demonstrating their ability to operate the equipment in a safe and efficient manner through a series of driving and operating exercises.

The practical portion includes demonstrating the ability to safely maneuver the wheel loader through a series of obstacles.

Course Details

Length: Theory: Two – Three hours – Practical will depend on if you are a skilled, or new operator

Certificate: Valid for three years

Prerequisite: None

Cost: Skilled – $225.00. New – $625.00 +gst

Note: Smaller class sizes may result in the student taking the theory in our computer lab with the instructor present to monitor and assist the student. Practical components will be taught in-person with the guidance and supervision of the instructor.
