WCFF has been creating and facilitating Occupational Health and Safety compliant training programs since 1996.
WCFF is an Authorized Training Partner of Saga Universal’s training programs. In 2016, WCFF’s program development branched out as a separate entity that is now Saga Universal Training Corp.
Doors open at 8:15am. Classes start at 8:30am. There is a grace period for late students until 8:45am, after than students will not be allowed into the classroom.
We have a large parking lot, including three accessible stalls, as well as street parking.
We have complimentary coffee and tea available, feel free to bring your own reusable mug with a lid. Lunch is not provided, but we have a microwave available and a few quick stop places near by. Students get about 30 mins for lunch.
Intermediate First Aid was previously named Standard First Aid. It was renamed when the newest CSA Standards were introduced to standardize Workplace First Aid and harmonize first aid training across Canada.
This is a two-day course that builds upon the Basic First Aid Course.
Basic First Aid was previously named Emergency First Aid. This is a 1 day course and is acceptable for low hazard workers.
We include Level C CPR & AED in all our first aid courses. This means adult, child, and infant CPR.
If a student only requires Level A (adult) we have exceeded their requirements.
Students who are re-certifying must have a current Standard or Intermediate First Aid certificate. Once the ticket has expired, they must re-take the full Intermediate First Aid course.
We can recertify someone with an out of province certificate, as long as their previous course meets the latest CSA Z1210-17 standards.
No, we teach Saga Universal Training’s First Aid programs, and like Red Cross and St. John’s, we are on the list of approved agencies by Alberta Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) and meet the latest CSA Z1210-17 standards
Yes, we are an Authorized Training Provider of Energy Safety Canada (ESC) courses. You will find those courses on our calendar named as Energy Safety Canada Courses.
The Energy Safety Canada and First Aid courses will be a full day of instructor-led training.
Most of our OHS compliant Powered Mobile Equipment or Industrial training courses are offered in the computer lab, which makes them about half a day.
Certificates are valid for 3 years. However, rescue courses are valid for 2 years.
Energy Safety Canada tickets will be handed to the students, by the instructor, after the exam.
Saga certificates are digital, and will be emailed to the students email they provided at registration. You may print a wallet sized card. It will also be stored on your Saga profile to access at any time.
