Confined Space Complex Rescue

This course is essentially the same as the Confined Space Simple Rescue course except for one big difference, the rescuers are wearing SCBA.

It is intended for workers who may have to enter a confined space at their workplaces and perform a rescue wearing SCBA. It provides the basic knowledge and skills they need to safely enter and rescue a co-worker from a non-combustible hazardous confined space.

To be certified as a Complex Rescuer, the end-user needs to complete Saga’s Confined Space Pre-Entry with Tending Worker course, Confined Space Simple Rescue course, and Confined Space Practical using Breathing Apparatus course.
Please note; this is not a Confined Space Technical Rescue course.

Course Outline

This course is a combination of Confined Space Practical using Breathing Apparatus and Confined Space Simple Rescue.

Trainees must have a valid certificate in Saga’s “Confined Space Pre-Entry with Tending Worker” course (or an equivalent course).

Saga’s “Confined Space Complex Rescue” course is designed to introduce the trainee to the basic concepts and safe work procedures associated with entering and performing a simple rescue of their co-worker from a confined space with a non-combustible hazardous atmosphere while wearing SCBA.

The trainee will participate in a vertical and horizontal non-entry and simple rescue from a confined space while using breathing apparatus.

Length: Blended Theory Online: 4 hours + Practical: 6 hours
Traditional In Class – 12 hours (2 days)

Prerequisite: Confined Space Pre-Entry with Tending Worker
