DESCRIPTION:\nThis course includes the Confined Space Pre-Entry and Tending worker. Rescue Non-Entry and Entry without Breathing Air\n\n\n\nThis course is intended for workers who may have to enter and perform a confined space non-entry or simple rescue at their workplaces.\n\n\n\nIt provides all the information they need to safely enter and rescue a co-worker from a non-hazardous confined space.\n\n\n\nThe course includes both a theory and a practical section.\n\n\n\nThe trainee should understand:\n\n\n\nThe trainee should be able to demonstrate that they understand basic concepts, hazards, hazard control processes and safe work procedures associated by participating in a vertical and horizontal non-entry and simple rescue from a confined space.Please note: this is not a Confined Space Technical Rescue course.\n\n\n\nThe basic concepts, hazards, hazard control processes and safe work procedures associated with “non-entry” and “simple” rescues, both vertical and horizontal, from restricted and confined spaces.\n\n\n\nThe criteria defining a non-entry and simple rescue.\n\n\n\nThe elements of a confined space rescue plan.\n\n\n\nBe aware of the personnel, tools, and equipment needed to perform a vertical and horizontal non-entry and simple rescue.\n\n\n\nThe actions required to perform a non-entry and simple rescue are to avoid causing further harm to the casualty.\n\n\n\nPPE: Students should bring coveralls, hard hat, work boots, and gloves\n\n\n\n\n
