DESCRIPTION:\nThe course includes both a theory and practical section.\n\n\n\nThe trainee should be able to: \n\n\n\n\nComplete confined space pre-entry activities.\n\n\n\nDescribe and explain how to maintain a safe-work environment in a confined space.\n\n\n\nDescribe and explain the main duties required to exit a confined space.\n\n\n\nUnderstand the requirement for emergency response and the basic elements of an emergency response plan for confined space.\n\n\n\nUnderstand the responsibilities of the tending worker, and SCBA and SABA safety watch.\n\n\n\nDemonstrate the safe and proper use and selection of a full body harness, and respiratory protective  equipment for confined space entry.\n\n\n\nParticipate in simulated confined space entry according to principles, standards and procedures learned in this course using a harness and breathing apparatus\n\n\n\nPrerequisite: Confined Space Pre-Entry with Tending Worker (included with this course), or ESC Confined Space.\n\n\n\nPPE: Students should bring coveralls, hard hat, work boots, and gloves\n\n
