Registration does not extend the current certificate’s expiry date.\n\n\n\nStep 1: Register for the 3 hour online theory on the Energy Safety Canada webpage. Click Here\n\n\n\nStep 2: Register for the 30 minute practical skills session.\n\n\n\nCourse Outline\n\n\n\n\nH2S Properties\n\n\n\nHealth Hazards and Locations\n\n\n\nHazard Assessment and Control\n\n\n\nRespiratory Protective Equipment\n\n\n\nDetection of H2S\n\n\n\nInitial Response Strategy\n\n\n\n\nCourse Details\n\n\n\nLength: Three hour theory + 30 minute in person practical skills\n\n\n\nCertificate: Valid for three years\n\n\n\nPrerequisite: Current (not expired) H2S Alive Certificate, Proof of completion of online theory & Valid Government ID.\n\n\n\nCost: $80.00\n\n\n\nNote:\n\n\n\n\nStudents must complete all elements of the blended learning in full. \n\n\n\nParticipants must be able to put on a mask and breathe under air.\n\n\n\nParticipants must be able to participate in rescue drag techniques.\n\n\n\nFor the skills assessment, students should wear sturdy footwear and clothing compatible with the activity and movement associated with rescue techniques and donning/doffing of an SCBA.\n\n\n\nBasic literacy and understanding in the language the course is being taught is required.\n\n\n\nThe course can be accessed at anytime through your online Energy Safety Canada account, for 90 days from initial registration.\n\n\n\nAfter completing the online portion, students have 90 days to complete the skills assessment in order to be certified.\n\n\n\n\n\n
